Cows, spunk, cake and Church 🤓

End of a fabulous week on the roads. I’ve taken it easy trying to ease myself back into “work mode” and out of “play mode”. Which I will add, is very difficult for me to do.

Avoided London the whole week but flirted with the outskirts here and there. Sadly I didn’t get into Wales either 🙁 however I did get to say “Moo” to these majestic cows in Leicestershire.

The week ended in a nice place albeit a little humorous.

I arrived with two boxes to a vet clinic for large animals. The nurses were pleased to see me and duly took the boxes from me. Small talk ensued and they told me the boxes contain “man juice”. At this point I was incredibly confused. What could this mean? Is it urine? Well, it’s not heavy so can’t be.

“It’s horse spunk” nurse giggled out.

The rest of the day was spent trying NOT to think how it’s extracted but moreso who has the job of extraction and what the hell do they do to arouse the horse. Note : I do NOT need an answer. It was a fleeting thought at the time 😁 a recurring fleeting thought 🤦🏽‍♂️

I leave and see a stunning Church. It was open too. As soon as you step in the stone structure really does a great job in creating a cool refreshing atmosphere.

I met someone’s granny and pa there. Pa was a jolly old fella. He even had all of his teeth! Definitely more than me. Granny gave me a small
home made cake.

Oh em gee 😍😍

This cake was delicious. Perfect. The kind you’ll never find in the shops. I need to befriend more grannies.

We spoke about the Church, the building and the grounds which are cared for by local volunteers and agreed that more care needs to be taken to restore these magnificent buildings as many are falling into disrepair.

They were rather surprised to see a Muslim guy like me take an interest in the church and its heritage.

Regardless of which version of religion or non one follows I believe it’s extremely important to preserve history and heritage. After all, you seen some of the monstrosities being built today? Glass, steel, concrete and LED lighting. Oooo fancy 🤨

So, do you need a courier? Who has been traumatised by thoughts of the horse…. Never mind 🙁
